Gunny got me a much much better deal on the master cylinder/booster, still trying to find someone who has done this to find out if there is something special to justify the $700+ labor charge they want.

I have the same brake system as you and mine failed due to the dealer leaving a brake bleeder open after my frame replacement. Apparently the air in the system caused it to fail. It took a while, but I finally convinced them that they had to fix it for free and I can confirm the bill was just as high as yours...

The labor is higher because supposedly you have to bleed it electronically and cant just do it at the bleeders while pushing down on the pedal to get the air out and its time consuming. Crazy that my 2005 4x4 sr5 dcsb has this setup.

Well, I was regretting not buying a TRD Off Road with E-locker and all the bells and whistles, but now I feel better. Sorry for your trouble.

Advice: find a rebuild kit or source seals and get a cylinder hone and start cleaning it up.
