Is this cautionary? I was gonna respond but ... made me think twice

 

He's referring to my earlier post that I deleted a couple of pages back. I felt like it was lost in the middle of the discussion about the naked guy's mustache, so I reposted.

 

Unfortunately, Murfreesboro is over an hour away. I may give them a call if I cannot find anything closer.

 

Everything can be done on your own in a day or two. Just get a Haynes manual and YouTube loaded on a laptop.
Valve cover gasket, brakes, and plugs can be done in a couple hours tops.

I've seriously considered it, but it's 100F outside and I would rather let someone else do it I'm offering to pay, of course!

So I didn't miss anything except Carter is now on a list somewhere and can't go near playgrounds anymore. Got it.

 

I called Ray's and they won't do any work with outside parts. I have never understood why a shop won't do the labor if I bring the parts and accept responsibility for any parts failure. I think they must profit from marking up the parts or something.

So....I'm feeling pretty much screwed here. Not a damn soul anywhere is willing to do these simple jobs, even when I'm offering to pay a fair price for labor. I don't have the time or desire to do this myself. I guess I'll just drive the damn thing and hope someone hits and totals it.

 

In as few words as possible....Liability insurance carrier says so...

 

Sometimes it seems like the entire world is designed to bleed my wallet dry. I search to the far reaches of the internet, assemble all of the parts for the best deals I can find, and now I have a back seat full of crap that no one is willing to install.

There must be a Tacoma Bro around here somewhere who knows these trucks and would be willing to let me roll up in his garage and help me get these jobs done. For a fair fee, of course!

Call Kee's this dude was able to fix my buddies Tacoma when nobody else had a clue what was wrong with it. He was unable to fix my wife's car and charge me nothing and took the part he put on back off for free. Solid dude and his wife is nice. As far as outside parked so I don't know what his policy is.

 

Thanks for the info. I notice everything seems to be in Murfreesboro It's over an hour away from me, but at this point I'll have to settle for what I can get.

 

As a recall I brought outside parks with for my wife's repair and he used to them. I know it's far from you but you got to take it where you can get it I guess

 

There's a shop near me that would be exactly what you're looking for. Just scarce these days
