    Hey....I have a PB rear steel bumper. The previous owner of my truck had a guy powdercoat it right on bare steel. After one winter it was rusting through the coating. I brought it to another shop and the guys there said it wasn't zinc coated first. So they coated it in zinc and then powdercoated it. I hardly had it back on the truck and it was flaking from accidentally knocking my socket wrench on the bottom edge as an example. How are you guys getting a durable powdercoat on the steel bumpers?

    I just returned from a 5000 mile "expedition" to South Dakota and Montana, towing a teardrop with my recently installed Pelfreybilt rear bumper.

    Absolutely no problems, whatsoever! Not that I expected any...

    The bumper performs great. Even getting to the receiver behind the plate is not difficult.

    We generally have our PC here in San Diego do it and dont have any issues with flaking.

    Is it normal to have a 1.5"-1.75" gap from the grill to the bumper? I just haven't seen anyone with that much gap and just finished installing mine today. I've heard about washers on the bottom bolts and am thinking I might have to do that unless someone has a better idea.

    When I put my order in, the prices were already discounted? No code or anything needed.. For the bare 3rd Gen IFS MID and GAS skids, at least? But yeah if you call it in I'm sure you can get it squared away!
