i'll have to look into that; I would have to start at like 8 since i don't get out til 7 here. a couple of the guys here drive PT for armored truck routes. i was also looking at driving for auto parts stores.

 

i tell ya, when i retire next year i want to open a shop and restore old cars and sell them. you can come work part time there if it works out. Of course i will be in St. Simons though

 

seems odd for a fairly large city... my sister lives around that area in Sanford; her husband was a ranger out of bragg

Been here for 5 hours and just now got a break.

 

i know. we were out of control last night. was on calls until i got off at 0600 and tonight.....Ghost town. My sister lives in Carolina Lakes which is about 10 minutes or so from Sanford.

Next week starts inventory, then 2nd week I'm on vacay. Well....I guess partial vacay....I never get to go anyplace special for vacay, just visit the folks and friends up north.
I guess that's vacay for me.

Aug 8th i'll have 18 yrs. 2 more yrs and I gain another weeks vacay and another personal day totaling 7 weeks.
I have a friend in Singapore that keeps wanting me to fly down and then travel to Bali.
Might take her up on that in the next couple years.

That sounds more like insanity. LOL I guess I can't say much though I've been working 5 12's a week for the past year.

 

We all do what we want or have to!! For me it finances the truck, my wife and travels!! I'm just about off for 8!! Have a good sleep everyone!!!

Can you elaborate on "unpdedictable"? All you have to do is taxi people around... easy work imo if you live in a heavily populated city.

Thought about signing up for Uber/Lyft in my Tacoma. But A) I get like 12mpg, and 3)I heard it's not really worth it anymore unless you're in a Prius

 

The way uber is structured is more of a rip off towards the driver, but you work your own hours and still make money. Even with gas expense.
