Let's see your tattoos

I recolored also. Red faded again.

 

I'm actually allergic to most brands of red ink, the fact that the reds in my upper arm and lower arm have stayed is surprising compaired to my first tattoo.

 

36 years old this June, a by-product of the 1981 Bike Week at Laconia NH:

 

I had a reaction when doing my right lower sleeve. Figured it was the red. But when doing the outline on my left sleeve, it happened again. Has not happened since.

I made that mistake in '81--had to have "Diane" (a mistake I made in '68 and fixed in '89) changed to "Anjr" (the artist did the best ho could) during Biketoberfest in '93...

Could be different brands. Apperently the old (years ago) school red ink had a lot of sulfa/sulfates in them. Im highly allergic to that crap. So it would make sense. I didn't get anymore red for years. I attribute it to better control over the ink mixtures and a better choice in shops/ artists

 

I'm adding a big piece on my left arm this Saturday! Can't wait even though it means the end of vacation

 

OK, today's the day!! I will be starting on my left sleeve this afternoon.
I'm going to combine the two tattoos below. I'm going for the look of the tattoo on the left. (more animated but try and keep as much detail as possible)
But with the following changes.

• Mostly likely will be Black-n-Grey only. No color.
• I will add in the sword like in the middle pic
• Remove the Grey band moving the lower part of the sleeve up slightly.
• Remove or change the 666 emblem to another Samurai emblem.

My artists stays booked out 5-6 weeks in advance so I booked this a couple months back. I have a 3 hour session this afternoon.
2 6 hour sessions 2 weeks apart next month in August. And then the last session 6 hours 2 weeks later the 1st week of September.

 

Will do. I may post a pic or 2 over the weeks as it is in progress.

 

Are any of you artists? After this fire, Im looking for a phoenix (mythical bird) for a tatt. Lots online, but would like to find an original piece.

OK 1st session of my left sleeve was yesterday afternoon. About an hour of design work with my artist and about two hours tattooing yielded the pic below (Left).
I think were off to a good start. I'm going after the combination of the two on the right.

 

Pretty close, I suppose.

I've been hoping to have something done by her for a couple of years and never thought it would happen. But she ended up traveling here to the US and I jumped at the chance and was fortunate enough to get a spot.

 

I never heard of her till now. I Googled her. You are correct.

 

Yes she was really polite. Very quiet. She spoke english for the most part but I didn't really have a chance to have more than just some casual conversation with her. I had a few questions I wanted to ask her but never got the chance.
