All we do is talk shit!
Once in a while we pull our heads out and we meet but the problem is that we have made individual threads for the shit we do around the area. :notsure: not sure on why but that's how it's done. And most of us are close enough that word spreads quick!

because we meet frequently o_O. Trail runs, camping, fishing, brewery meets, and mod meets.
I am not in the oc so that's why I have my own thread. Ron has his with TBM. Etc....
WA is just for us dumb asses that can't stay out of the dirt. SD is SD
This thread is usually where we talk about where we met lol

He will be in town August 3- 6. Not much time to do what he wants as he is leaving for cross country trip.... moving to Louisiana for a couple of years. He probably won't have time to mess around to far. I reminded him of Los Angeles traffic and told him to set aside 4 to 6 hours for playtime.

Copy that. As you said, a 2" over LT is enough to have fun without any body modification correct?

Brian, what setup do you have? Sadly, I am too far from Brea to meet up. I usually don't get home from work till about 6. Temecula to Brea is probably another 1.5 hours with traffic.

Oh, I saw your truck alright. You know you have a nice truck when my girl said "His truck looks mean as fuck". I kept on looking into my side and rear mirrors to admire your truck.

2" over LT doesn't require fiberglass fenders. It will still require some fender clearance mods like CMC, fender trimming and pinch weld + BFH mod.

Brian has SPC control arms, King coilovers, OME dakar leaves and King rear shocks.

Honestly Mike, thank you for breaking it down for me. It's been hard to get information since most things get steered off into a different topic lol. I would love to pick your brain more in person if we ever meet (I'm sure we will).

With a MT kit, will the track width be increased? Did Brian have to do body modifications to run his setup?

    Edit:
P.S. I owe you a beer or two for the schooling.

If you get bigger tires than stock you almost 100% have to get a cab mount chop (CMC) and flatten your pinch weld, and cut plastic. @Shmellmopwho did my CMC and pinch weld flatten. He provides fill plates as well at an unbeatable price. And he's a pretty ok dude.

Is there a down side to running stock size (I believe I am 265/70-16) with a MT kit? I am a function over form type of guy and do not mind my truck sitting as is with the tire size. Heck, I don't even want to lift the truck unless I have to.

I've been on here a long time, learned slow but know I have a decent understanding. LT is mostly still a new realm I'm learning and barely know a fraction of it haha. Glad I could help clarify!

MT kit does not increase the track width. Same lower control arms, and stock length upper control arms. That's a nice benefit to MT when it comes to tight trails, you can upgrade to a coilover and yield much much better use of the travel you have, but even with extended travel C/Os and UCAs you gain maybe an inch of travel. But you can still haul ass with MT. 60-70 out in JT, 40-50 through some small/mild whoops out in the desert. Jumped once, on accident (kinda), but landed smooth

I was there installing your shit! I know what you have haha.

Ryan ( @Shmellmopwho ) is the go to guy for OC and north, @ItsRichieRich you're closer to Jason ( @Speed Freek ) whose the go to guy for SD and surrounding areas. There's also Jason ( @glorifiedwelder ) whom does great work. I know he's inland a bit but not sure exactly where. Only met the dude once when he was in OC.
Both are awesome people, can't go wrong either way

You gain more ground clearance with a taller diameter tire.

Got to mall crawl today haha. Some ass hole saw me trying to squeeze to the right so I can turn right on the red and not wait behind 10 cars going straight waiting at the light. He decides to try and move over a bit so I can't pass. There was a convenient driveway that I was able to use as a ramp and just ride a bit of curb to get past him. I would have made @itaro proud

That's the real reason we all lift our trucks and spend stupid amounts of money on them, right?

There is a super tall one near work. Going to try and climb it with the locker.
