I am ... I negotiated the next three days off instead of just the one for my Thursday fishing trip. I don't go back to work until next Tuesday night.

We'll probably go back to that Larson Creek again on Friday.

    I'm a happy MQQSE! :D

I sometimes do think it's meds and/or my back and neck being out sometimes. I've had it happen without my back being out though. I've had the dirty ear before and learned my lesson with that.

I made all the reservations for next month's vacation, so there's something to look forward to. I'm going to try to plan a hunt or 2 while I'm out there for this winter...get all the logistics layed out.

I'm usually good after a day. I do have an appt. with the doc on Monday, so I'll bring that up as well as requesting to see a dietician that won't be so general and I can fine tune the diet better. In fall and winter I do pretty good, but in spring and summer is when I can't quite stay between the lines. Between alot of the produce being out of season and exerting more energy and having the sweat pour out of me, I need some professional guidance.

I'm just glad I hung around and made it a career and don't have to depend on the VA. I know people who are assigned in one location but go to another because where they're assigned can't or won't get their shit together.

I've talked to a lot of Veterans up here in the High Desert and a lot of them use Veterans Choice program . They say they feel like they're receiving better healthcare than what they would get at the Loma Linda VA med center

Right now I'm at 80% and level 1 designation so that allows better Healthcare currently . I'm still working on that last 20% though

Pretty sad you have to " work" to get the 100% medical you already worked and sacrificed for .

Unfortunately the promises made (rhetoric) and the (dysfunctional) reality don't match up.

I agree. I firmly believe responsibility for the VA should be taken out of civilian hands and the responsibility be given to the military. I think the military would do a better job of taking care of vets.
