LT isnt always the best option

if youre big into wheelin anywhere but near the desert...beeg rawks + solid axle = fun

as far as doing the swap...if you dont know what your doing, look into local rig builders and start shopping

its a LOT of time, money, and work...but the end result when done right is well worth it

    btw...where are you located (OP)

if i spent the money to convert to a solid front axle i'd be going with something other than a D44...just personal opinion...

ah ok...if youre keeping it cheap then toy axles are definately the way to go but i think you can find one up to around 82 or so

once you get that...wheel it till you break a birfield and then replace them with Bobby Long Longfield chromoly birfs

yea true... but hey i thought of a new idea, instead of a LS1 (350HP) lets go to an LS7 Z06 engine (505HP) man what a thrill. my dad have a corvette with a LS2 that i get to autocross and man it is fast, but my uncle has a 07 Z06 with the ls7 and he let me drive it:cool:, and holly crap. its hard to keep the tires from spinning!
