So here are my badges. I left the ones on the front doors on and kept the ones from the rear tailgate except for the SR5. I must say it looks better without all that bunched up chrome back there. ..((I fear that there is no cure for this MOD BUG that I have contracted))...and its all thanks to you guys:mad:....jk lol:D:D

I wish I was brave enough to try the headlight mod, I would if I had a job just in case I mess up but for now I'll stick to the low cost mods. Satoshi grille is to be done this weekend hopefully, just dont know if I should keep the grille chrome or black it out as well.

Let me know how the lights come out and add some pics of them too.

The badges are simple with little items needed.

-Masking tape (tape borders of emblems onto the truck for an easier re-install)

    -Paint

    -3M molding tape

-Some fishing line (I used the 10lb line for 2 bucks)

    -Blow drier

    -Some rubbing alcohol

I baked them for 8 min at 250 degrees then sprayed em, baked one more time and added 3 more coats. Make sure to try to keep them as flat as you can while hot. One of mine bowed out but I re-heated and straightened it out. Good luck and put up some pics when done with those too!

Thanks 671 and I agree about it looking much cleaner.

Thanks liftedXR. Yes it desert sand mica, not too much of that color around here so I chose it.

And I'm pretty sure Ive seen it before, I remember black badges on white but cant remember about the roof rack, I was just fixated on the emblems lol....plus not that much of those around here either. I also have the thor logo on my back window and a grenade on the back passenger so honk like a crazy person if you see me lol

Thanks dano, its probably the easiest thing you can do and it looks good. Put up pics when your done. Have fun! and heres some guidance if you need it

    -Paint

    -3M molding tape

-Some fishing line (I used the 10lb line for 2 bucks)

Looks good. Quick question, why did you bake the emblems?

What's the purpose of baking? Could you just sand, primer, and paint them?

    To both squid and josh.

You can sand them down which i did but there is a lot of tough to get spots.

Heating also lets the paint have a firm grasp on the surface even if its not sanded so I did it for those tough spots.

I'm sure its not necessary but I had nothing else to do lol.
