help with preload spacer

im not sure about these spacers just the 6 inch lift kits,but how thick or inches can i use for a preload spacer,dont wanna put any on top that will cause the uca`s to drop closer to the coils so any obama ideas.thanks

 

Not exactly sure what you're asking, but knowing what lift you already have would be helpful....

 

i bought this 1997 p.o.s for a woods truck my trucks got the 6 inch lift kit,but i need to know how many inches can i use for a perload spacer so i can slap these boggers on this beast

 

what kind of lift? 6" suspension drop bracket? or is it like a combination of body and suspension?
If its a 6" drop bracket lift like a fabtech or something then you can probably go with about 2" additional before too much CV issues arise.

 

no thats on my other trucks i got the real lift for im talking about this junk box i just bought for a woods/hunting truck theres a limit for preload spacers i got these spacers here that measure out at 2 1/2 thats preloading the spring alot i dont know what preload spacers are in measurements

 

If the spacer is 1" thick, that'll give you 2" of lift.

A rule of thumb for 4WD trucks is not to exceed 2.5" of lift using preload spacers ( 1.25" spacer thickness).

It all depends on your current setup - and in a nutshell - you need to watch your axle shaft/CV angles.

 

ok for max lift......6 inch lift...3 inch body lift (or custom make a larger body lift) 3 inch spacer lift total of 12 inches of lift up front unless you custom make a larger body lift). as for the rear end get creative. shackles blocks AAL.
