I visited a small company today the had legit "Tundra Parking"... the best part was that the spots were about 1.5x the norm and all closest to the door.

    Thought it was interesting

Moved campgrounds from Hershey Park to twin Grove today.
Question for you camping folks. Why does my hot water smoke out a bunch of soot when I first light it? I originally thought it was just because of how long it had been but it did it again when we got here and it was being run for days before

That likely means there's something in the exhaust that shouldn't be there. Try blowing it out with compressed air to make sure the exhaust path is clear. You shouldn't get soot from that. Also blow out the fuel pipe, after the nozzle. Make sure there aren't any spider webs in there.

Rob, either that or your air fuel mix is off. Check the collar to make sure it didn't move during transport. When the heater is on, it should be a nice, blue flame. If it's orange, you're not getting enough air in the mix and that can cause the black soot also. Don't let that go too long, that's not normal at all.

I'm fucked... The wife is gonna divorce me after this for sure. I'm getting that HomerTaco grille with the white surround. Looks like I'll be able to take the insert off and snap it onto my existing black surround... I think. So, I'll have a Pro Grille and a white surround to try and sell to hopefully make some money back and make the "hit" for buying the HomerTaco grille not as bad.

Haven't really put any thought into the price of the Pro though...

Homer's aren't glued together so it does come apart with the screws and clips. You should be good there. I wish you the best on the castration... :D

One of them is older, pre-hdmi. Think it's an Optimus. The other is an Onkyo tx-sr...something that needs $1 worth of parts and soldering (plenty of YT how-to videos)

If it's just a quick puff of black smoke, then the flame turns blue and no more soot, that shouldn't be an issue I wouldn't think. I would check the fuel mixture tube to make sure nothing is in there, same with the exhaust. If both are clear and the flame is blue, I don't think you have anything to be concerned about. I'm camping this weekend, I'll pay closer attention to what happens when I first light mine.

Yeah my biggest problem is getting compressed air to the camper that is already set up. No biggie when I'm not camping but a pain right now. Think a can of compressed air would work? Also i will check the mixture tube to see if that works.

Morning from PA once again everyone!

I would think a can of that keyboard cleaner stuff would do the trick. Start with the mixture tube first to make sure there aren't any of those spider web or moth cocoons in there blocking your air flow. Then blow air in from the exhaust in short bursts to see if anything loosens up, maybe a leaf or something in the exhaust. If neither of those work, it could just be nozzle adjustment issue. Maybe it's not that it's not getting air but that it's getting too much fuel.

A can of air should work. If the flame turns blue quickly, I wouldn't think there would be spider webs blocking the air adjustment.

    It's a 46" cut. It's very close, but I can't quite make it.

I had a 42" at one point and I could just barely drive it right in, which is odd considering the width between the wheel wells is supposedly 41.5"

Anyone ever get a weird rattle noise from somewhere under the middle/back of the truck over bumps? It used to only happen on really rough terrain, but now it seems like it's any larger bump. It's a weird noise. Almost like the sound of a spring letting go inside a steel drum. Fairly quiet too. If the radio is on at all I won't hear it.

I've crawled under the truck with a creeper and hit things and nothing moves or rattles at all, so I'm stumped.

I think I'm going new this time. The price difference between a '14 or '15 and a '17 isn't significant. Beyond that, the price difference between a loaded SR5 TRD Off Road (bucket seats, larger fuel tank, etc.) and a Limited TRD Off Road was not a whole lot more than if I added leather and heated seats myself and then I still wouldn't get the auto climate control or the power rear window.

I'd really like it if they do a Limited TRD Sport for next year. No chrome, but would still have a nice interior. Not like the Tundra has a locker anyway, so you don't lose anything worth mentioning off the Off Road.

    Morning everybody! Happy Friday! :bananadance:
Tomorrow the broilers go into the freezer! :bananadance: I've got 6-7 of them that turned out to be cockerels and they're learning how to 'crow' but it just sounds like somebody strangling a regular rooster. Add in my layer roo (who crows a legit 'cock-a-doodle-doo' and at 4:30 in the morning it gets pretty loud around my house.

Certainly looks like a Vagburster. Congratulations/my sympathies.
