Galveston or Surfside?? Also, heard you can drive down and park on the beach? Will my 2wd pavement princess make it??

 

You might make it. Depending on what part of Galveston, you can drive on some beaches. You can drive on surf side for sure. They have areas that are packed down for you to drive on. Just make sure you park on hard sand as well.
They also have a fairy that can take you to the other island (Bolivar aka crystal beach)

 

Depends on what you like to do. Surfside is a small beach town, with some things to do, but is not built up very much. I drive on the beach all the time in my street queen, just need to watch the sand condition and not go somewhere that looks too loose. Surfside can also be a bit less touristy. Galveston is all built up and has all the "stuff" around a tourist trap. You can find out of the way things, but again, depends on what you like and what you like to do.
