    This...all of this.

Pivot your body and step out onto the ground. It's quite simple, so stop being a lazy fuck.

It has to do with the material on your pants......these taco seats break down from contact with synthetic plastics , IE dress slacks etc. I discovered this after seeing what my plastic lunch box was doing to my passenger seat

You must be doing SOMETHING different. I'm 5'10" 230 lbs and at 10k miles my seats look virtually brand new (can post pictures but didn't feel like it would be necessary)

Here's the deal, I've owned countless cars and trucks, I do nothing or wear nothing unusual AND never have had an issue. I don't need the dumb fucks from this forum telling me to watch what I wear or how I get into and out of my truck. There's a problem here and Toyota needs to address it. I'm a QA engineer by trade and know a thing or two about product defects and testing.

I'm 5'7" with a 29" inseam. I wear cargo shorts, jeans, and dress pants (not all at once). I can't hover up and into my truck. But, this '15 OR and the '06 Sport were the same. I've owned about 20 vehicles in my lifetime and NEVER had this problem. I don't own steps- shouldn't need them. Next step will be covers, but there are other financial things more important at this moment. Let's face it- this has been a complaint on this forum since the beginning of this fabric's use on the 2nd gen. I'm happy for you if you're 5'11" and can simply step up and over the bolsters, but come on... this is crappy material. Sorry if you're a fanboy and think Toyota never messes anything up, but they cheaped out on this fabric. I'll bet someone tells me I shouldn't own a Tacoma because I'm too short and don't have it all jacked up for offroad use either.

I find the wear on the side of the bolster comes from compressing it against the seat adjuster knob. I'm hoping my fix stops the premature wear. The tops of my seats are not worn from rubbing- maybe people are experiencing different things?

So I posted in this a while back saying that the OP just shouldn't drag his ass blah blah blah.

Well sure as shit, karma comes back to bite me and my driver seat is showing wear where my right ass cheek goes.

Maybe certain pant fabrics wear the seat fabric quicker. Maybe it's the small little nuances of how you get in the truck. Not sure but either way, the fabric in my 27 year old CRX doesn't show this kind of wear so I'm inclined to say that there is definitely an issue with the seat fabric

I bought my 2016 TRD OR dBL cab in April 2016.
I have 21K miles. I wear bj, cargo shorts and khakis.......I also have wear issues on both the lower seat cushion outside edge and the side cushion outside edge. I'm 6'-3", 200 lbs. agree, never had seat wear issues like this in multiple vehicles I have owned.
