Hey guys. Taco in the North Fulton area. I haven't heard of this show before but I am definitely interested. Just ran up to Tray Mountain with my son Monday and had a blast.

A little of this and a little of that.
If you have an airport nearby, there should be nitrogen servicing equipment at a FBO.

So I went to remove my Bilstein 5100 lift off my 1st gen yesterday because I'm selling the truck and it was such a pain in the ass. Got the top three nuts off no problem. Went to remove the nut and bolt at the bottom and ended up breaking my cheater bar b/c it was so tight. Got pissed and moved to the passenger side and I had no problems with it...had it removed and my stock coilover installed in 5 mins. I was told I may need to jack up the LCA to take some pressure off the bolt in order to get it loose. Damn pain in the ass.

May be easier to bolt everything back up and start with the bottom, get as much droop as possible to relieve stress on that bolt to break it loose.

I knew you'd have some insight lol. I'll do that. I think I started with the bottom on the passenger side, now that I think about it. Also, getting the bolt threaded through the shock on the bottom is a bitch! Even after I finally got it threaded, tightening it was a PITA because there's no room for my gorilla hands to reach the back nut. I remember having this issue when installing the 5100's, as well.

    I try! :D

Yeah you have to maneuver the lower shock mount around along with the LCA to get it just right. It is a PITA but just fiddling with how high the LCA is and shock mount. Also when installing it just do the bottom first then the top, some reason I found it much easier

We got a decent spot up at @bryanbyers28 and my place. @marinemonkey is right down the street (literally) we've got decent amount of tools, jack, and 3 jack stands. Or we could do one somewhere else, just need a date that could work with everyone

Well, my lift is probably going to be maybe a month away. I've got to wait until my 1st gen sells (I don't think it'll take too long) and then I'll be getting all the parts, wheels, & tires ordered. Hopefully mid to late August.

Probably should think about October. My August and September are busy.
