In my experience, NA tune on a low displacement motor will never yield "wow" results, at least not without some serious supporting mods(headers, cams, proper intake plenum, porting polishing.. etc)and even then it's almost always everything up top.
Like I said before, I don't care for hp, I care for refined driveability

    I should have 04B01 tonight.

Only so much is possible with throttle response, you have to also consider safety. Sure I could make it full throttle right when you touch the gas, that's dangerous.

working on another throttle update for MT transmission and AT transmission (will be in 1.02)

Ive had tunes in the past where the tuner offered 1:1 throttle response, meaning if i press quarter throttle the throttle body opens a quarter vs a mapped/calculated value. Is the same happening here?

I don't have the tune, but I am going to make an educated guess that is not the case. I'm sure the throttle input has been changed to compliment the new torque and hp curves. This would give the impression of 1:1 even though it is not. Only if you had a very linear torque and horse power curve would a 1:1 ratio would be ideal. Hope that makes sense and we will see if OV can confirm.

throttle mapping on our tune is not 1:1. In our experience doing this can make throttle feel very choppy and can cause problems at very low throttle angles

Sure I could do it, I'm not sure people would like it.

if someone wants to test and give their opinion (who has a tune already) let me know.

I plan on purchasing the first week of September, Since i will be on vacation for that month. I am willing to try it when I receive a file. Hopefully the 1.02 update will be out and a 87 also.

definitely. i have used the Pedal Commander for months while waiting for this tune. I've removed it for the tune, bit I've been thinking about adding it back at some point since most of my driving relies on the first half of the pedal travel, but i like most of the torque showing there. I'm not sure of any numbers of course. i used the Sport 1 setting on the PC which shows strong in the first 1/3 of pedal travel but also needs a light touch especially on a wet road.

@OVTune I think it's more important to attempt to best mimic the feel of a mechanical throttle, at least, in my oppinion..

I agree. I had a car with two very different throttle mappings (eco vs standard). After switching modes my foot/brain only needed a couple minutes to adapt to the change and then it didn't make a difference anymore. My foot just automatically pushed harder in eco mode. So, I'm not too concerned about the mapping itself as long as it doesn't become choppy. What I'm really looking for is consistency (same input always produces same output, independent of what the ECU thinks is good for me) and getting rid of the lag -- which would be accomplished by recreating the feel of a mechanical throttle.

I'm hoping for some more low end pull. Its like a 2 stroke power band kicking in around 3800.

04B01 calibration vehicles will be updated to 04B02 + 03 enhancements as per TSB, checking with my to ensure the software will allow this as part of it's protection is it will not write a file that does not match by ECU ID code

some of you must also reflash the TRANSMISSION ECU as well to match this update
