    No i called him soon as i got home and told him the box with the old gears showed 456 and my receipt said the same. He said all his stuff showed 488 that he had wrote down what to order for me. I'm thinking the boys in the shop put the wrong gears in it. Bc before i left we talked about the 488 gears and him telling me to give him feedback on them.

    When you dropped the truck off , did you sign a work order ? did it say 488 or 456 and do you have a copy of it.

    Apparently there was a mix up with parts. He had my parts on order first and the distributor shipped him parts that was suppose to go on someone else's Tacoma and the shop put therm on without double checking. I will be getting my 488 gears put in next week. But on a review for the 456s I've went from 13mpg to 16mpg driving 75 on the interstate but kinda glad this happened now bc i now know i really want 488s

    No they are both 456 i put my truck on blocks and checked. But when i did lock my 4wd in it made a crazy howling noise and vibration. I go Monday or Tuesday to drop it off. Good thing he wrote lifetime warranty on the receipt. If this guy would not have done a good job with the rest of my truck and my wife's truck i would have gone through it with a fine tooth comb of checking everything before i left.
