Hey all I was just wondering is there a difference in the 12-15 model and 05-11 models with the seats? trying to get leather covers for my 09 and found a deal on a 12-15 model just want to make sure before I purchase anything.

That might be the only difference I know of, except for the front fold down seat version

As far as I know there is not a difference by year. But there is a difference in seats. The Sport and Off-road have different seats. Then the lower levels have a fold flat seat version and a air bag version.

Just thinking for how cheap they are its worth a chance to see if they only need minor modification as opposed to get an entire set made from scratch

You can tell of you have the TRD seats by looking. Most seat manufactures refer to them as the "sport" seats.
The Sport seats have a thigh extender in the middle.

*hijack(since it seems the op issue was solved)* Anyone know about the rear head rest compatibility through the years or even other vehicles? Mine were removed and gone when I got the truck, and I can see how they would interfere(highly understated) with visibility, but I have people in the back sometimes and it seems like a good idea to at least have the two side head rests. And they are ridiculously overpriced on ebay, I could make my own for those prices. Pick and pull wants $50 each, but it is about 2 hours away.

I can't tell you about years comparability, but I can help with your issue.
Both my father and I have DCLB Sport Tacoma's. He happens to be missing 1 of his rear headrest. They stick into the holes and just stay put.
On my 13' they have a lever on the side of the headrest. It allows me to fold them down 90 degrees to the front. Makes them about 1/2 The height for better visibility.

Please show me a website that calls them off road seats. As I posted earlier on all the seat cover companies sites, the TRD Sport and Off-road seats are called sport.
