If you look closely, you will see the back bumper already has some 'character' to it. Nothing pristine here.

Well? What have you been doing I'm sure there's something you've done that's post worthy! Your truck is capable of doing most of the trails around here from what I understand. Your statement about sliders was a good place to start. Some of the best advice I got so far was armor up first. It wasn't the first thing I did, however I dropped my other plans and turned my focus that way. If you don't have access to a welder find a good quality set of bolt on sliders SOS concepts, Brute force, even Mobtown and they are close enough you can go pick them up and save on shipping. I wouldn't spend money on powder coating just cean, etch prime, and paint with DIY bedliner it's easy to touch up. Then turn your focus toward a lift and tires if that's your desire. Just a thought. There are many here who know far more than I do

I got some wheels, and now I'm looking for tires. Probably going to go with 265/75-R16, if I got that right. The biggest I can go without a lift, and would like to get the General Grabbers, but not sure if these are the best bang for the buck. While I don't want to get the cheapest, I want to get something that's not going to break me either. Then I will start getting some armor. I also bought a sub, and I'm looking for an amp, and got a CB in anticipation of going on some trail rides with others, and looking for an antenna and reading how to hook it up. Haven't understood anything about how to tune it, but I'll figure it out as I go along.

The tires should be fine. The CB is easy it's just a positive, a negative, and an antena wire. To tune it yu'll need an SWr meter I'm sure somebody around here has 1 they can help you with it. Maybe @buyobuyo has 1. It'l be nice if you post some pics when you get to doing these mods. Figure out where you want your CB antena and if you need a bracket let me know we may be able to make 1 you need to figure out where you want it first
    RIGHT CHAD!

I would only suggest no mag mount antena as it'll get knocked off I can make mounts for bed rail tracks and for the rear bed corners

I don't really care where either right behind the cab or along the back by the tailgate. I've seen a mount for a Firestick that bolts on the side where the tailgate shuts. Does it matter where it goes?

Not really only if you have plans for a bed cap of some sort I can make a mount for either location. It will mean a trip to Culpeper though

Thanks I wasn't sure if those were worth it but I think I want to get a Firestick, but not sure if a 3ft or 4ft is better.
