An old manager I had did that in grand fashion. Customer was making a scene and yelling at him on the sales floor then demanded his manager. He calmly walked into his own office, turned around and came back out "Hi I'm the manager, how can I help you?" Customer lost his shit and left
I don't even remember what it was over anymore, just remember the guys face when he came back. Needless to say demanding shit didn't work in his favor.

I've had to fire a few customers before. Some people are idiots. We had one lady with a piece of shit old crown Vic bring her car in for an oil change. No problem. It came back a month later with the battery light on and she made a big scene because it was our fault the alternator died. Yeah ok... my service manager said if you can find 1 shop that will back up your claim that an oil change made the alternator fail a month later we will replace it for free. Never saw the car again. We had another guy curse out our service manager because his sequoia needed tires to pass inspection. We backed the car out and when he showed up he came into the shop and cursed us all out and gave us all the finger and we all told him you need to get the fuck out before something happens to you. Some people need a reality check. Don't know if he took too many pills or what. But moral of the story is. Do what is right for the customer but I f they are being insane in the membrane it's time to fire them.

It is bad that it has come to this, but everyone really should make a 360 walk-around on their vehicle before leaving a garage. Kind of like buying eggs and opening the carton to see if any are broken, or opening the pizza box to check before the delivery man runs off...

Once again, it is sad that it has come to this. I would be pissed off too.

Update. The dealer just got approval for repairs from their insurance company. The service manager is pushing me off to their body shop like hes doing me a favor. Oh and the tech is still working there with a reprimand. Hes been working there for a very long time and when i asked one of the higher ups if he was over worked i could literally hear the sound of his ass pucker as he immediately ended the conversation. So far they have been acting like total assholes and im very close to blowing my b.s. experience with them out into the open.

Ah yup, another reason why i do all my own work on my truck and if for some reason someone takes tires off (like getting new tires) a torque wrench from my box gets brought and i go around and torque everything.

Did this at the dealer when i had a TSB done for rear leafs (i wish i could of just taken the parts and did it myself). When they pulled it around when they were done i pulled out my torque wrench and started checking everything. about halfway through the head service guy that i had been dealing with the already shitshow of a tsb came out and was like "what you dont trust our work?" i go nope... i dont trust you guys as far as i could throw this truck. The very next lug i touched was hand tight and the guy saw me spin it off with my hand and hold it up and i went this is why.....

Why did they even take the wheels off for replacement of the springs?

Have you done a leaf spring replacement? MUUUUCH easier with tires off the axle... much easier to move the axle around sans an extra 150lbs of awkward shit on it.

I'm sure I'm late but give them a chance to fix it before you blow them up. You not only put the guy that did its job at risk but the company and other employees that were innocent as well. Let them try to make it right, I deal with complaints all the time and deal with these threats and it's one of the most childish things to threaten to blast them or call the news.
