Well guys, I got the truck all loaded up for the trip and she is definitely sagging in the back. It's so much dang weight that I'm gonna need to order a leaf for the Dakar leaf pack to give me some height back. The available AAL would add 1". It's down about 1.5-2" though. I think it's making my head lights point a bit too high too.

The question for right now is will I be okay exploring around with sag like this... I drove around the hood and it felt fine. I wasn't stressing the suspension much at all of course.

Also, can more than 1 leaf be added to add additional height? It's 15mm for the first leaf and I wonder if I could add 2 per side. Total noob on this and I haven't really done the research yet.

We are leaving tomorrow and I can't really shed much weight that would make a difference.

Not sure on the specifics of adding 2 leafs but think you'd be ok if you've got the room in the shackles. Biggest concern would be bottoming out while off road. You have bump stops back there correct? Might just take it easy this trip. All I'm worth right now on this :D.

Yeah I replaced the stock bumps with superbumps all around. I can take it easy I guess.

The tire gap in the back is .75 lower than the front.. a squat I guess lol

Not too bad. Sounds like a 1" will level ya back out. But if you're looking for rake than may need another leaf or a block. Enjoy your trip.. Looking forward to good pics.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Can use two of these in conjunction with an OME AAL to get the lift you need while still keeping your ride smooth. I fear that two AAL's will make the rear too stiff.

What about adding something like the sumo springs air bags? I've already been wondering about this, do they give additional support under a heavy load like that or do they just make it stiffer? I'm worried about this same issue down the road with mine. The rear end stock feels so damn soft already!

Edit: I guess the sumo springs are not air bags at all.. learn something new every day.
