So i have been selling these mounts for a few months now and i have finally gone out and bought an ax and shovel to mount! I was a bit concerned with the length of the shovel working with my ammo cans, but i have a long bed and it turned out great! I still have access to the storage compartments also! Here are a couple photos i grabbed.

I have @ETXTacoma working on mounting his 4 gallon rotopax in the bed. I am waiting on feed back from him to see what need to be changed if anything.

He gave me a rotopax mounting plate but i can not really test it with out the other parts. From what research i have done it looks like my universal mounts would work just fine, but i do not own a rotopax tank so i cant really do too much R&D on it. So i have no idea if it will fit below a bed cover, or work with a camper shell or anything like that currently.

I would like to see if someone would let me borrow theirs so that i can try to get something made.

Will do, no idea if he will get some or not, but was talking about it.

Trying to get him to buy my wheels and tires...

I am working on it... but really really slowly... may try tomorrow sometime if I get time.

So let me ask... you gave me the base plate, which i believe that you attach the rotopax mount to the base plate, then attach the base plate to your whatever... Right?

I feel like my mounts can act as that mounting plate for sure!

I feel like i need to buy a rotopax for the purpose of having one and demonstrating the capabilities of these mounts...

True, but i think that the rotopax would be better mounted on the rack... i guess i could always move it after i get some pictures....

Would there be a way to lock the shovel and axe down with those mounts?

Before I had my camper shell, I had a long bike lock that I locked to the front metal tie down and then through the hi-lift.

So would be the same concept essentially.

I have been thinking about the same thing. I have come up with using a gun cable lock to DETER theft. I would probably add a hole in the mount, and ax handle then pass the cable through the shovel handle to lock everything. I just dont know how long of a cable i would need. For the hi-lift mounts a gun lock works great.
