I'm still concerned about the fitment. Pic looks like slots show over top of grille. I've read this entire post looking for an answer to this question. Did I miss it?

I ordered one. So will let you know how it goes when I get it. I guess I'm a poser. I'm not trying to look like a pro but just wanted something to get rid of the chrome grille on my offroad as that is the only chrome left. I almost went with the sr grille but piecing it together wasn't a lot cheaper than this. I ordered some silver sky overlays for the lettering too off ebay. You can get choose your color which is cool. I also still have the offroad stickers on my truck and eventually will have the clazzio leather. So I will be super confused which kind of poser I am. Am I an offroad poser, a limited poser, a pro poser, a 2016 posing as a 2017 since they didn't offer a pro? I am confused! Lol.

 

Also, Vanculture's grills are made in Taiwan, but Alibaba grills are made in China. Not the same grills. As soon as my credit card cools off from the OVTune purchase I'm buying one from Vanculture.

I don't understand people's emotional investment in this. Maybe I have not been on forums long enough. I'm not buying the grille to try and pass off my truck as a pro. I bought it because I thought it was a decent looking grille at a decent price and would get rid of the chrome grille on my truck. Almost went sr grille and almost went real pro grille. This to me was a good middle ground. I don't get the sell out comment either. Who am I selling out, Toyota Corporation? That's just hysterical in itself. Toyota has no problem taking advantage of customers with pricing and services but I don't get mad. They are trying to profit. I either buy their stuff or don't. But people shouldn't be mad when another company offers a comparable product at a better price. That's capitalism. To me the bottom line is buy what makes you happy and try not and let what other people buy make you mad. I don't agree with what a lot of people do to their vehicles but I have never acted offended by it. If they ask what I think I just say it's not for me and move on. This is all I'm going to say about this outside of when I receive the product I will let you all know the quality and fitment.

Many internet folk seem to think that their opinion holds a higher value over others. Facts, however ... are different things, and those same people tend to conflate the two. Going forward now that we know replicas are hitting the market I encourage anyone that wants an OEM grill to make sure you buy from a reputable seller. I wont be surprised if some people try passing these off as OEM...how pissed would you be if you thought you were actually dumping the coin on OEM and its not so OEM.....
