Unfortunately she's had jeeps for her whole driving life, she's been sucked in to the brandwagon.

Wife works for Toyota Dealership, there is word of some diesel coming in the next few years. They want to open the market for a diesel but a little unsure on how well it will be received. Also some rumors of the hilux diesel, that i bet is way way out. I will ask around. Some guys i know that work for Aisin will inform me when the new diesel piston casting happens.

I gave mine a hug, since the parts the body shop ordered won't be here for a few months.

I'm just gonna applaud the organization and use of available space while still allowing vehicular use of the garage.

Awesome! Thanks for the idea of the fuse. I'll do that. I would like to have a switch, but unfortunately all my spots are full and I don't have enough accessories to add for a switch panel. I rarely run my high beams, usually only when I'm nighttime driving with literally no one on the road so I think I'll be okay. Thanks again man!
Thanks for the input! I think I'm gonna go the route that Randy suggested! I'll post back with some pictures of the wiring.

If the 3rd gens would have looked like this truck when they came out I would have probably waited to buy one instead of my current truck. It does look nice but I wouldn't buy a diesel version. I couldn't justify the cost for my uses.

Having one on he roof for 2 years now I would highly recommend a switch too. You dont have any spots below the HVAC? When I was short a spot to the left of the steering wheel I took the airbag switch off and tucked it behind the coin tray/panel and left it plugged in ( knowing I would never be turning it off and on, and if so some reason i HAD too, id just pull the coin tray real quick

I'd be all over a diesel hilux (or 3rd gen for that matter ) but I'd be replacing as many body panels with armor as I could to get away from the swoopiness of all the body lines .

    Ordered a Viair 400p today

What we should really be interested in is where we can get a "SR5 double taxicab diesel 4×4 ute" mentioned in the article.

Who writes this stuff? Reads like a scam email from Nigeria.

I'll drive my wife's limited over my truck any day. Drives like a dream. I love a real jeep or two but a renegade is a grade a POS.
    Never going to happen.

That shell is awesome. Is it really a LEER? I didn't think they made ones that looked like that.
