I use to be bad about sitting on top of mods and parts that I bought for months. Then I learned how to do some stuff myself, and now I usually get my new mods installed in a timely fashion.
Now I need to figure out what tires I'm getting for the wheels that were delivered today.

I gotta get home first. lol
what I really want and what I'm going to get are completely different, but in due time. I'm going to move up to 33's, and hopefully after the new tires have serve their purpose, I then will be able to regear for 35's. I have a lot I need to research, and to do to be able to get myself to the point of being able to go 35's and not to do it half ass. Its killing me, because patience has not been strong with me on my build and I usually give into the dark side and charge it on a card. I'm at a point where my credit card debt is getting to high for my liking. But there is a lot to consider for going 35's. Cutting, pounding, cmc, pulling out the fender liners, regear, to do a front locker or to stay with a-trac, and then if you go with a front locker, you now need an air source that can power the locker.
the way I see it, I took a big step in that direction by going with new wheels to accommodate bigger tires. Now I need to figure out a rear swing out, so I can properly display my beautiful matching spare wheel, since I went with a set of 5.
its going to be a slow phase to get there, but I believe it is the smart path. By then the truck should be paid off, and that allows more cash flow. Or I could be so pleased with how the 33's perform that I will forget all about 35's. Who knows.....:notsure:

Ha, I always use my foot on a pry bar pushing down while i use both hands to shove the shock, bolt, whatever in. There is definitely a technique when doing it solo.

Tried for 2 shipments to get a set of these for my dad's 2012. Fuckers sold out before I could get my CC info in both times. So he went with something different.

To be honest I really haven't been looking at wheels that long, and wasn't going to wait; but found out SCS had a shipment coming in. Got onto a thread about the Ray 10's and everyone was saying that they sell out in minutes every time. I honestly didn't believe it, but made sure I was able to jump online right when the shipment went live for ordering. A few minutes after I ordered mine, I went back to look at the website and sure enough, the Ray 10's were sold out. A lot of upset people on the mentioned thread too. Maybe I got lucky or maybe I made myself more available to hop online. Perhaps it was fate. Who knows?

So, the shock came out easily after I gathered the proper tools. I ordered one of those Dorman 2-piece cv boots because my original driver's side boot had a tear and gear oil was going everywhere. Since I had the shock out, I decided to go ahead and replace the cv boot. FUCKING MISTAKE. That Dorman cv boot is the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen. 1st, the damn thing was the same size as the stock one, but it's made of hard plastic, so it doesn't stretch enough to fit over the differential. 2nd, the damn thing splits apart as soon as you look at. I was so fucking mad I started throwing shit. My FIL and toyota guru was at our house fishing, so I went to ask him and he said, "why don't you just replace the whole cv axle? Costs like $60 and takes an hour." So, I'm doing that today lol. Hopefully after getting the cv in and putting my stock shock/spring back in, I'll be ready to take some pics of the damn truck so I can sell it. With my luck, however, I'll run into another issue, at which point I'm just going to set the damn truck on fire. My wife asked why not just sell it as-is, but I just can't. I want it perfect so I can't be picked apart.

Hi, everyone, won't yall look at this. The bama guys want us GA guys to come over and play. lol. Thanks for the link.

I was trying to go over there the other weekend; but work threw a wrench into my plans, so a friend and I went to Windrock instead.
To be honest @h.zack801 all but the first option and labor day weekend, will work for me, as long as I have enough time to request off. I have casted my votes.

I live near six flags. Can anyone recommend a shop or mechanic in the Atlanta/ Douglasville area that does good work on lift kits/ suspension install ? Thanks in advance.
