I got back from a six day, 1400 mile solo overland trip around Oregon a few days ago and have a few pictures to check out. These are the camping photos. The off road pictures are here. I took a bunch more but don’t want to bore everyone. Enjoy!

    Great pics!

At first I thought why camp in the middle of the desert... then the night time photo. So cool.

Great camping spots. I like how you hung the flag, and took it down at night. Not many people would brother to remove the flag at night.

Really great pics, what a cool adventure! I'm wholly uneducated about the whole vast, horizon to horizon desert idea. Can't really fathom it. Anyway, did you leave marker lights on at night for the 'just in case some who-ha comes ripping across the desert at night' scenario?

One is a FS campground on 168 west of Bishop. It's Forks but I highly recommend Four Jeffrey as a great alternative for even better views.

The other is dispersed camping in Inyo NF near Lee Vining.

Having lived here for the past 2 years, I have to admit it really is a natural wonder out here. The views never ceases to amaze me.

    Thanks!
Camping in the middle of the desert was surreal to say the least. I didn't have any marker lights on, but I guess that may have been a wise thing to do. Part of the surrealness was the total darkness though. (Bonus points for using the term "who-ha".)

IMG_3809.jpg Just got back from what was supposed to be a fishing trip with the boys but somehow it turned out to be more of a drinking fest into the night and lots of of good food. I did however get to get my new Tacomas wheels dirty on a nice trail up to a high mountain lake and do a little fishing for some Brookies. Lots of fun to be had but I look forward to the real trip in September to lost lake with my good friend and fishing compadre.
