    Will do. I plan on covering that whole portion like Chad did. I've seen people paint over the entire thing, and always wondered if that would cause issues.

    It's just peace of mind for me. Knowing that the matting surfaces are clean and the paint won't cause something to become loose after it flakes off

    Sorry I was wrong :crazy:. The back is wider than the front. I just realized I was running 2" in the front and 1.5" spacers before I put on the maxtracs. And it was dead even. So I guess I'm unsure about why 1.25" spacers. been a long day

    No idea that's just what works but I've always thought the same thing as @desertrunner24. Like the old Chevy's they were wider in the front. Or maybe the bed flares out more than the front. All I know is it works.

    @ensaladas my front measures 55.5" between the tires & the rear measures 56.5" . Another thing too is with the 1.25 spacers you don't have to cut you stock wheel studs, smaller spacers require the studs to be cut so the wheel will mounts. Maybe someone along the way was ok with a tiny bit wider in the rear to avoid cutting studs & that's just what s been suggested in here. :notsure:

    So I've got some questions and other BS.
    1. Anyone know who's truck this is and please for the love of god tell me who makes those wheels because I'm probably going to order them very soon :D

    2. Got my Maxtracs, they have some minor surface rust and lots of grease splatter, anyone know a good way to "soak" the grease off? I'm gonna pick up some Rust-oleum black cans for when I get the grease and rust off and of course tape off the bearing area.

    3. Just got my Derale 8000 series plate cooler in the mail, going to install it for my power steering pump when I replace the pump very soon. Already have the pump as well, just need to find time to install. Anyone have a PS cooler installed as well. Before I install the maxtracs, I'm going to install a bigger plate cooler for my transmissing as well. Should I stick with Derale or does anyone have any other suggestions? I want as much cooling as possible, probably going to delete my clutch fan as well and go with dual flex lites instead for more airflow.

    Don't mind that it is a transmission cooler, its going on PS. Literally the PS and trans cooler they sell is exactly the same but I got the transmission cooler for $5 cheaper.

    As far as the spindles I'd just wash the with a degreaser then let them dry & just to be safe wipe them down with acetone before you paint.
