Just disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or so. I always turn and hold the key for 10 seconds after I disconnect it to draw down any power.

That only clears the short term learning. To completely clear the learning you need techstream. For those with techstream im just wondering what all you change/clear in techstream

The simplest way would be to disconnect your battery for a while, but there is a button that says something like "reset learned data" or something like that in Techstream.

I reset via battery and that was good enough to reset the learned values resulting in the stumbles.

My incessant stumbles never returned after replacing my CKP... it's intermittent and I feel something similar at times after a time, but NOTHING like it was before my CKP. and my vibes have continued to be very low (like 80% of what they used to be) along w/ the smoother idle. I have ~3-4k I think since my last ECU reset / CKP as well. I'm optimistic for you, but only time will tell.

Thanks you for locating that. I was just about to post some screenshots since I just did this on mine. I haven't replaced the sensor, but I am curious to see if it is a learned condition. I'm not completely convinced that the CKP is the problem so I am going to test everything I can before I replace it or get it replaced. I have a service appointment Monday so I will also be flashing back to stock.

I have your exact issues with my '17 TRD Sport. Anxious to see if your issues are fixed form the sensor, or if they're just gone for the time being from resetting the ecu.

Still good. It's still got some hesitation as the ECU is intentionally lugging the engine in the same low rpm range, but it's not stuttering. Just hesitating until it shift, which is what I'd expect. I can't get over how smooth it idles.

Yup... that was my experience as well. and rough idle has never returned to-date and that was one of the major things that was concerning to me esp. on hot days sitting in stop/go traffic it would get worse and worse with each stop. no more

Checked again, still not on the recall. F@ck it, went to the dealer and ordered a "98". I gave the parts dude the new P/N, he had no problem bringing it up. There's stock available (in Toronto, right now at least) if any of you Canucks are thinking of getting one.

Kinda redundant at this point, but I also sent out an email requesting my exact vehicle and engine build dates - I have to know lol.

If it turns out I'm on the recall down the road, I'll submit whatever I need to get reimbursed.

If not, I've bought some peace of mind I guess.

Haaaaay, the sun is over the yardarm where I live.. beer going downrange.

I've been doing some experimenting on my truck the past two days. Yesterday I wiped all the learned data on my OV tune to see if it had any effect. In the ~150 miles I drove yesterday and today, the stumbling/fluttering was still there from the beginning.

Tonight I flashed back to the stock tune in preparation for bringing my truck in to the dealer on Monday. I also made sure to wipe all learned data again. I took a short trip to the store and back while taking some logs. I tried my best to make the problem show up and could not.

I am not convinced the issue lies solely with the crank sensor, at least on my truck. I have to do some driving around over the weekend so I will keep testing it.

*EDIT - This stock tune blows....

I've got 50ish miles since reset. I've reset this ECU a lot and never have seen enough of a delay between resetting and stumbles to have it stand out as learned so going this long without them returning is certainly new and worth noting.

Changing the ckp to the "98" sensor did not fix it for me either. I did all the same steps as you.

Oh sorry it probably won't help with the tune. It didn't for me.
