    This year I'm doing a small group buy for people I know, ordering in bulk from Alibaba $450 ish each before shipping. Same factory the Smitybuilr one is made in, which isn't the nicest tent but worth the price. Not paying $1200 for canvas

    That's definitely not a bad way to do it. As long as you find a decent supplier, get a bunch of (confirmed) orders together, and everybody's willing to wait, you end up saving in the long run.

    Man....this is definitely one of those times where "Wants" and "Can afford" are a couple of years apart. Looks pretty amazing...an adventure trailer is DEFINITELY in the plans, but waaaaay down the path (unless the lottery is won).

    But...DAMN that looks good! Just wow.
