Damn I missed a lot going on here.

Yeah sure. That could be arranged. I thought you just put in a leveling kit?

    I'd vote suspension

Suspension first-you should know your bumper choice/weight(winch, compressor etc) to make the right choice on shock/coil, as well as intended use and how you want your rig to ride.
There may be a good reason that you rarely see Kings for sale...Just saying, and very few complaints.

A friend of mine has warned me about Icon suspensions. The top hat/mounts have been known to be faulty and leak. I did a basic Google search on the topic and found enough to say HELL NO to Icon.

    Can anyone elaborate on this?

"If I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die historic on the fury road!"
I read about that as well last year when trying to decide on which shocks to buy. From everything I could find/read when I was searching was that this issue on the Tap hats was something that Icon ended up fixing. On it leaking I was find everything from 6months to 2yrs later they would start leaking but eventually any name brand CO shock will end up needing to get rebuilt depending on how hard you ride them (at least that is my thought process). Most recently I've being seeing "don't buy Fox shocks" not sure why though :notsure:

I've had my Icons for 15 months now, and just got the fronts put back on my truck yesterday after getting rebuilt, my FR was starting to leak. But I have been riding them really hard since I got and am honestly not surprised it didn't happend sooner! This is just my opinion though! Hope this helps.

From what I have read, they get beat up pretty bad. Rust and corrosion start to build up early and gets bad. But that's just from reading on the forums. My choice would be Kings or Icons.

So this is going to be a tough one. It might boil down to which ones I can get a better price on, lol. But from what I've read on this link. Things are pointing to the Foxes having better internals than the Kings.
    http://accutuneoffroad.com/articles/fox-vs-king-2-0-coilover-shock-comparison/

And after what you've said now I'm going to have to research why people have been saying don't buy Foxes. Thanks for the fast reply.

They are all good brands and everyone has a gripe about one or the other. Broken top hats, mounts and leaks happen on all brands.
Keep in mind a lot of people are running ICON's with no issues at all. They make quality products and I wouldn't count them out but ultimately its your call.

So I guess I'm not counting the Icons out after all, lol. I guess which ever kit will work best with what I need for my truck. And that won't be until I deploy so I have plenty of time. Thanks brotha!

I grew up on fox shocks, to my mountain bikes, dirt bikes, now my truck. There's a reason everyone knows the fox logo. That's just my personal opinion, they've never done me wrong so I'm a customer for life. Kings are basically the same shock. Icon kinda came out of the bush...
