    Brush for paint or cleaning? Any scrub brush for cleaning & I'd spray paint them.
    If you clean & paint them in the same day rust shouldn't be an issue.

    No problem, yeah on those spots you can use some steel wool or fine sandpaper.

    Pulled up alongside a pretty lifted Taco today. Was all set to give props until I saw the 5100's, stock coils & what looked like a 3" tall spacer on the front shock tower. My limo-tinted window went back up 'sofa king' quick!

    I can only hope the glare from my gloss white "MT" logo caused some discomfort for her.

    A thing or two...
    I used Naval Jelly a few months ago to take some rust off the end of the bed where the tailgate latches. It worked well. I had to do a few applications because I had some heavier rust spots, but for light surface rust, it should clean it up in 1-2 applications.

    Looking for a nice smooth ride 95% highway, current setup too stiff for my liking so I'm hoping this will accomplish the ride I want and truck being level.

    Currently:
    6112 4th notch
    Light Racing UCA
    1.25" Block
    5100
    BFG 265/70/17 Ko2

    Looking at:
    MaxTrac 4" spindle lift
    6112 1st notch (stock height)
    Light Racing UCA
    2" AAL
    5100 keep existing or Fox 2.0 (local shop has kit with Fox shocks)
    BFG 265/70/17 Ko2


    Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    You're on the right track with Maxtrac's & your 6112's on 0 (stock), being on the 4th notch now is whats making it stiff but I think the aal will make the rear stiffer. Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road can answer the question on the rear. Maybe a 3 leaf progressive aal for a smoother ride?

    Appreciate the positive feedback ChadsPride.

    As I'm continuing to do some research I'm seeing different info. If I put the circlip to the 1st notch will it be the same as stock height? or as I've seen the 1st notch will give .95" lift? I'm a little gun shy as I'm on the 4th notch and the same chart that shows .95" 1st notch is the same chart that showed 4th notch 2.5" lift but I'm at 3.5" albeit with 1/4" spacer driver's side. So potentially the 1st notch could yield possibly 2"? Then all of a sudden I have a 6" lift- 26" center hub to bottom of fender?

    I'm not familiar with 6112's but on 5100's the bottom (0) is srock then it's .85, 1.75 & 2.5
    Your 1/4" spacer actually provides 1/2" of lift so that would put you around 3" or so.

    What I'm seeing on the 6112's is 5 notches.
    Bottom is stock then .5, 1.25, 2 & 2.5.
