If you're talking head bolts, aren't those torqued to yield anyway? If so, you need a whole new set when re-installing. Valve cover bolts are different, and you can probably find some replacements from a hardware store or something.

Quite honestly, you're fighting an up hilll battle. IMO, your best option is to pull *everything* out that you even think this douchebag might have touched and essentially start from scratch. You may need to find an actual mechanic and bite the bullet.

Torque to yield bolts can be measured and reused if they have not stretched too much.

Interesting, I had heard you always install new ones. And that wasn't from the stealership trying to sell me new ones, lol...

My info comes from a top quality engine machine shop owner. I needed my 22R rebuilt so I went to check his shop out. He had Ferrari V12s and stuff he was working on, engines that probably couldn't be replaced, so I had confidence in his work. Using new ones would be the safest plan especially if you don't know how to measure them or don't have the right micrometer. I can't find a manual with info right now.

STOP calling them head bolts. They are NOT head bolts. Head bolts connect the head to the block.

What you need are valve cover bolts. There are 10 total and they need very light torque. Here is the part number for the bolt 90080-10327 and here is the part number for the rubber washer seal thing 90210-07001.

I'm pretty sure a quality tool to measure the yield on a head bolt cost significantly more than the $80 or so for new ones.

When in doubt replace the it!

Not enough to have a build thread.
You're looking for valve cover bolts. Not head bolts. You can buy them individually from the dealership. Probably just a few bucks. Head bolts are much bigger, typically only get replaced when doing a head gasket, and then all of them get replaced, hence the set for $80

I would agree with this. If I were rebuilding an engine it would go to the machine shop I mentioned and he'd measure the bolts and tell me if I needed new ones.
