That looks great. Thanks for the pic - this helps a lot. To me the fit and finish looks excellent. Anything we need to be concerned about?

Nothing to be worried about. I ordered Wednesday evening and received today. Packaging was top notch, and everything was good. You do have to drill the holes into the grill if you order the lettering, but other than that, it was no hassle to install. Would definitely buy again.

Looks good. Was the install the same as for the Toyota grille? What did they provide for instructions?
    Thanks

    That was quick
Any concerns with the rigidity of the tabs? Or the way the letters mount?

Skeptical of what? That people come to an internet forum to sell products for the forum's intended audience.

    It's a cheap alternative to a non-functional mod.

lolol you must not have seen the cheap ebay bumper thread. Long story short, someone said "look at these cheap bumpers on Ebay!" and TW dug around and the OP actually worked for the seller and it was all an advertising scheme. What I'm saying is that it's odd that @vargasjose56's first post was about this grille (and it happened so quick) so it has the feel of the ebay bumper thread i.e. vargasjose56 actually works for the seller.

Internet forums are hotbeds for armchair professionals and snobbish elitists. Every forum for every interest is like that. At the end of the day, the actual professionals, vendors or artists/craftsman in any forum community will have very little posts. In contrast, the "Active" community members or popular forum members will have what amounts to 1000s of posts per day. How can someone have time for a hobby or profession when they have 1000 posts per day? It's something to think about.

It's a scummy tactic, but it doesn't work much in this age of Amazon reviews, yelp and other review sites. Mainland Chinese sellers are quick to use questionable tactics like this. Communism changes how people think.

Here's the thread in question if you're ever super duper bored. At the very least, you'll understand the reference.

I generally stick to a specific lower key gun forum and never have seen anything like I do here. I have been a member on a tundra forum and Xterra forum and they seemed fairly calm. Maybe taco owners are more emotionally invested. I don't know because this is my first Tacoma.

Back to topic, grille looks great. Kind of dig the black letters. Can't wait to get mine. Curious how letter install went. Instructions?

We can assure you he doesnt work for us at all. He just so happens to be very close to us so shipment went fairly quick. We're from Norcal and he's from Socal so it only took 2 days for it to arrive.

We totally understand everyone's views. We know there will be people that will be very happy and some that won't be at all. We also know that everyone comes from different walks of life and different priorities as well and so if we can help an enthusiast get what he wants while at same time save $100 or more to achieve it we're more than happy to help them out.

There are companies that focus on the authenticity of their products and are very sensitive to protecting the integrity of others as well and we get that. But there will always be that part of our community that needs a little help here and there in terms of budget on how they need to spend their money and how they can save as much of it as possible. Not everyone will agree to everything we do but we understand that no matter what we do there will always be a group that will be unhappy about it.

In our van community we push authentic stuff all day but we also offer replicas because we know not everyone can afford the real stuff and that's just the REALITY of it. We didnt open up the community to praise the hardcore authentic enthusiasts only but also to cater to the ones that are passionate about their builds but don't have as much money because they also have mouths to feed.

With that being said, we ALWAYS keep in mind who we may be offending and so although we cross that thin line between authenticity and replicas, we do try our best to differentiate the products as much as possible without taking away from its character.

We really appreciate you guys being receptive to this thread and we hope to provide more products not just on replicas but also authentic ones.
