2x4 Exteior wall should have a minimum R-13 insulation.

The label on the insulation is upside down, causing you to have to hang from your ankles in order to read it.

It appears much of the structure is supported by duct tape.

Plugging the FireTV directly into it has made a world of difference, even with a VPN client running on the router. I use DirecTV Now and its eliminated buffering when watching TV.

Something with the switch box looks wrong. No conduit, or is it romex? I cant see either.

    Burn marks on the door?

nah, the duct tape holds the blinds up. and the wiring is still hidden behind the insulation, i haven't pulled it down yet.

    And heres the full list.

Insulation is R-11, needs to be R-19
Studs are bowed from the weight on them
sill plate is a chunk of 4x4 thats not cut right on the ends
no header for the door, and the 2x4 there isnt cut right and is bowing the stud on the left side.

and, in addition to all that, the studs in the ceiling are run the wrong way,
the corner post out of frame is just the original 4x4 from when it was a carport.
theres no sill plate whatsoever on the left outside wall, letting water in and ruining the carpet.
the closet door has no header at all, its just screwed to the trim
and the attic ladder wasn't put in with a proper stud, it was supported on one side solely by a 2x2, instead of the 2x6 on the other side.

I haven't looked at the electrical yet. im afraid.

I almost forgot, among all the interesting stuff i found in the crawl space, I found this 18v Dewalt battery. I have no use for it, and have no way to charge it or check to see if its any good. If anyone here wants it, just cover the shipping and its yours.

Due to a $40,000 truck magically showing up in my parking spot, to retain my sleeping spot, I had to perform numerous hours of make the wife happy tasks. Still working on this major one, still need to put in back splashing, paint and crown moulding.

So, new house Tuesday last week. Since then..... new floors, built in book shelves, all new appliances, a tub to be refinished, new drywall and insulation in the closets. Basement demoed and ready for new walls and laundry. Wood work restored, and all new fans and lights.

All to be ready for the wait on the new workshop I will be building. So exited

The HOA finally approved our pool under one condition....We have to put up a privacy fence. Its going in Tuesday and I didn't have much time or money so this is what they get. It is actually turning out fairly well.
