@AR15xAR10 what are you doing with the pulleys? specifically the tensioner? I ask because I JUST did all mine and you can go about it one of two ways..

Belt, tensioner, and all three idler pulleys this fall.

Just ordered the parts so i'll have them when i'm ready

 

Do you need to replace the tensioner itself, or just the bearing/pulley on the tensioner? There are a couple ways to go about it. Also, if its the tensioner itself, I have one... that I may or may not need. Long story, but its the remainder of what I used to replace my tensioner pulley. Also, I purchased my pulleys from Autozone. I can get part numbers if you'd like.

 

I bought all oem. replacing everything because its all 10 years old and the truck squeaks like a banshee any time the outside air temp goes below 60

 

same. lol Guess I didnt post too much about it in my build.. but I've been chasing these and replacing them for a good month or so now. One pulley after another, then to find out the tensioner one was bad. Ended up doing just the bearing (pressing it in and out of the pulley to avoid removing alt and AC compressor)) and it STILLS squeals in the mornings. SO.. I'm assuming its the tensioner itself, maybe the spring is fubar'd so until it warms up and works it way into place its noisy as Hell.. at least, that's what I've come to believe using process of elimination. lol I have a brand new tensioner on my shop bench I'm going to TRY and swap in this weekend. going to be a PITA. I got excited because the Replacing the bearing option was super easy and I was able to avoid the fiasco of removing the alt and compressor.

 

Trust me. I don't want to mess with removing them either. But $280 worth of parts i might as well do it all and do my rad hoses and coolant flush all in the same day.

I'll also be replacing those radiator body mounts with the energy suspension poly ones. Been so long since i bought those, i don't even remember which way they go in.

 

I ran them the regular way. (whatever that is, because I cant remember now) lol

Got my parts today. Fixed both door panel trims.

Put the missing body plug in my passenger side rocker.
