    Exactly, it's an extra level of protection that costs $0.50 and adds zero extra time to remove. No reason not to have one.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
    No problems with mine either, no clip. Even with the nipple my pelfrey skid plate covers mine with room to spare.

    Only failure ive seen is from people overtightening when installing and breaking them.

    Looking at some of these responses.....my local dealer gives me a free (black) crush washer when I buy the filter at the dealership.

    I wonder if the blue crush washer is the correct Toyota crush washer and the dealer buys a cheap knock off to save a few pennies?

    I have the EZ Valve, similar to Fumoto but has a chrome finish and drains quicker due to larger inside diameter. Also comes with an O-ring. I, too, have never heard of any of these valves failing. My only concern is the valves stick down an inch or so and can get knocked off if you run over debris high enough to catch the valve. However, this is not an issue on our Tacos because there is a cross member in front of the valve that acts as a protector. All this being said, I have the Fumoto on the wife's Lexus and even though it sticks out, she hasn't had any issues in the 3 years she's had it.

    How did we get talking on the valves when the CO asked about washers? On my other Toyota products, and on my Taco before I installed the EZ Valve, I used them cheap light blue nylon ribbed washers. Would use them for 2-3 oil changes before replacing. Never had a leak with them. Think I paid $5 for a 10-pack at Pep Boys.

    Same here, my oil pan is beat to shit. Damn that two track in the desert is brutal. Would never run one of those valves if you actually off-road your truck

    6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
    A lot of shops won't touch it if it's equipped with anything other than a drain plug. Those little fumoto valves, butterflies, oversized plugs. If you do your oil changes yourself then you have no worries but when most shops see these they think it's a band aid for a bigger problem and won't touch them.

Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
