I put on a bug deflector with visible rivets. have got quite a few negative opinions on this. gunna stick my neck out there in case there's more haters, but is there anyone that even remotely thinks this is a neat mod/add on?

if it's functional to help save the windshield i'd say yay. if it's strictly for looks, it's nay.

Not a fan of the rivets and would opt to black them out. If you like it I say rock it and the haters don't matter...unless they gonna sponor your truck and pay for it.

haha i bet all the people that said nay are like OHHHHHHHH no wonder she put a bug deflector and rivets... its a girl *eye roll* #explains everything.
i dunno, i like my truck. if the deflector is temporary, so be it. most opinions are that people don't like them

Wheels, cap, running boards, vent shades, bug deflector. 8/31/2020 Tinted the driver compartment windows and strip across the windshield. What a difference.
[IMG]This is our 2014 with bug deflecters and vent shades. Both work well.

I want to get one myself but I don't want it to rub the paint or sit on the hood

    LS1 swap with nitros.
I think it looks good, though with so much painted surface on the front, not sure how much it will protect other than the edge of the hood.

I actually like the rivet look.... but only if they are not making contact with the hood as you'll have rust in no time.

Have the WeatherTech one on ours, windshield clean on last trip unlike the entire front end... Only thing I have noticed is we have tiny pit chips in the top of our shell, not sure if it deflected up something but that is a weird place for a pit.
