    I've only had duratracs on this truck other than k02s for a few hundred miles. Both were c rated. I can guarantee my truck has spent half of it's running hours offroad on trails. I've now had two broken sidewalls.

    First was ~20 mph into a boulder, only contacted the tire, stopped the truck dead in it's tracks. Can't blame the tire... Goofing off plus ice...

    This was lower speed but again compressed the sidewall while putting a nice dent in the lip of the wheel while pinching the tire. It felt like a part of the frame suddenly hitting a a huge rock you didn't see type of jolt... Again, i doubt many tires would've survived. And it was because i was following them and was trying to adjust the squelch on the pos CB.

    What we can all agree on is it's the ferking UTV owners... It's their fault.

    My duratracs were whatever teh stiffer sidewall was. Can't remember the rating. Even at 4psi I hardly had any extra grip in them.

    C are the lighter and thinner sidewall.
    E are the heavier and more ply sidewall.

    I figured I'd try the k02s not realizing that size was only available in E... And heavy as hell. Killed my mileage among a few other complaints, took them back to discount and they swapped them out.

    ah i was thinking of a different tire. those do look nice. Be interesting to see for sure.

    my dad likes his a lot too. But he doesn't offroad much anymore.

    Not like you drive it in the winter anyways. Really at this point i think your truck is only used for trips so may as well use MTs

    eh in those situations you just have to drive smart. To me for the rig, im willing to deal with that for all the pros MTs bring to the table.

    well the diff explosion i think also killed a CV. It binds super easy. Drive side one on the inner joint.

    Gonna pick up a parts store one tomorrow for now. Hopefully i can repair this one as its modified.

    I'm guessing the one that's binding is twisted/torqued at the weakest point.

    Its the inner joint. Just locks up unless it's basically straight. I opened it up to peak at it. But couldn't see much under the grease.

    eh. SHoulda know. Im pushing OEM axles travel wise. No really that surprised the parts store ones don't work. I cant get the fucker in my diff anyways. But does mean i don't think i'll be wheeling Frank this weekend..

    I'll eat $75 for a spare axle. Need one anyways. Also have enough spare CVs up here since we did Grants to take the CVs apart to make "plugs" for the OSK incase a diff blows again on a trip.

    I don't understand why you can't repair yours with one of those own spares you have? for some reason I thought Franks axles were extended.
