Plate mount isnt flush anymore, bumper wont clip in and the larger bumper around the headlights is no longer flush.

The flaps on the rollers probably caught the underside of the plate/bumper and pulled it forward.

Never go through a car wash ..... either hand wash or let nature wash it.

I haven't washed my truck in over 5 years. I just wait for it to rain and drive around. Has worked pretty well.

A few additions to make me feel cool.

Theres an impact point and it pulled the bumper down not from the bottom up.

The engineers and designers never imagined 3rd.Gen owners would ever take their trucks through a car wash knowing the entire bed and rear bumper are made of plastic.

Look on the bright side, now you have a reason to switch to the black plates.

Plate bumper FTMFW - and....... yer welcome! Problem solved.

I'd get the car wash co to help pay for the new plate bumper... then you can continue with the car wash routine. Maybe next run with plate bumper, you come out of the tunnel with a new hood ornament.

They just installed an autonomous car wash in my town. I hear these things can be pretty abusive when new, at least until they get the bugs worked out of them. It tore my neighbor's Saturn to pieces

I have heard of the brushes picking up trash from peoples' pick up beds and destroying the vehicles behind them. I never use auto car washes for this reason.

Go walk around Hermosa beach. Half of the cars front plates look like that. Parallel parking is a bitch...

Auto car wash strikes again... The new Costco in Torrance has one. I contemplated it one day, but then remembered the threads...

I remember a guy on here showing his Taco after coming thru a car wash, the entire bed side was caved in, think the brushes put too much side pressure on it.

Never had a problem with car washes except the hood shaking like it's going to fly off but that's because of a Piss poor assembly job by Toyota on the Turd gen.
