Same radiator as the tacoma uses, but the largest core size. might have slightly different mounting points though.
this will hang below the frame about 3" so keep that in mind for bumper clearance

sounds like you just need to spend the time to tune the shocks.

This. I revalved my rear shocks 10 plus times to get them where I want. Once you get it it will make you smile.

I will say that you can't have the best of both worlds (on road and Offroad). My truck is a little stiff on small bumps and what not on the street. BUT that is way worth being able to fly through big stuff 10 times as fast as my buddies trucks when we go out to the desert haha.

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
King does shock tuning every Wednesday if you're local to the area

It's not free but it might solve your problem quicker

Springs set ride height. The amount that they affect the ride is minimal when compared to shocks.

That said..if your springs can't hold your weight, you'll bottom out more which is never fun. If they are too stiff then they won't cycle. So it is important to get the spring right. But valving is what dampens the springs and changes how it feels.

Are links better? yes. of course. But you haven't found the sweet spot of your leafs yet so id say you aren't ready to spend the money of the links.

King probably valved your shocks for off-roading, not Pavement. Sometimes you have to compremise one how you want it to handle. Find out what the valving is and post it up

What kind of leaf cycle/movement is expected of proper leafs that fit the weight of your truck without shocks?

Too many factors there. How long are the leafs...arch..shackles..mounting points..

But generally SUA setups are around 14-18".

Question is asking what response is wanted/expected from taking the shocks off and driving it?

He was being sarcastic. You should never do that unless you have a death wish. His point was to show if you did that you'd want them back in a hurry.

My truck road great on the road stock. Nice and comfy. Maybe go back to that? Road manors only slightly improved from MT to LT because of being able to open adjuster all the way.

Go offroad then. It'll be better.

But you still need to tune the shocks. Also how much up travel do you have since you said it's not holding your weight?

It isn't that bad (non freeway driving). I did it for a few days when revalving my shocks so I was kinda curious. Haha.

Around town it's not bad to do while waiting for shocks. I've done that too. In the dirt at speed and highway. .no way haha
