I'm free the 26th/27th and also the next weekend Sep 2/3. I'd prefer the 2/3 because I get in on a plane at 12:30am on the 26th, but I'd make it work

I'm going to most likely do Sunday only because I want my wife to go. She works Saturday's. Maybe I can get her to take a day off and we will go both days and camp over night. Of course, if she takes off then no one is paying the bills. Lord knows I'm not!

^^ This. I'm really sorry you had a shit first time Jon, especially after you hooked us all up with some awesome sweets. A small group, 5 max, with like minded individuals and a good trail leader and a good trail gunner is what you need. When groups get that big and communication gets poor, I can see you having a bad time.

This. A trail gunner spot is just as important as a trail leader. A good gunner and leader will communicate any turns if people are lagging, and keep a good pace. The problem is if a group is 8-10 trucks group, it's really easy to lose people, hence the need for good communication.

How late does she work saturday? We could all get in later on saturday, camp the night, then hit the trails sunday and come home that day.

Waitress at a restaurant that class at 11 and then she has side work. Typically she gets home around 1 or 2am, with a stack of $1 bills. Weird

There was a lot of trucks there and it seems like groups got thrown together really quick. Next time we'll set up groups ahead of time maybe.

He was with a group of liked minded people who only went on greens and looked out for everyone and really took their time by going slow.
    Painfully slow ........................

What to keep in mind , from personal experience is that , don't just give up. The first time being at rausch is intimidating and stressful for those not properly equipped, and not wanting to "wreck" their new truck.
I kind of felt the same way dziner felt so I can relate.
Some "noobs" Will either decide it's for them and they want to do better by modifying the truck or ...... it's not their cup of tea , or bottle of beer so to speak.

I had a Great time !! Meeting new people , seeing others again , putting some faces to screen names , and having my truck impress and surprise me one again :)

Looks like a nice time was had! I've never been to the Takeover - always the CMCC event a week or two before. Where is the HQ for camping?

Loved seeing so many Toyotas at Rausch at the same time  Wish that were more commonplace.
Was great meeting so many people I hadn't met before, and seeing the ones I'd already met again. Glad I decided to go. Would have stayed another day, but I told my buddy I'd help him with his Jeep when I got back :anonymous:

It's not what is used there, but tilt shift photography is really good at making things look like small or like toys. There's a lot of fun potential for this type of shooting. Take this picture, for example. Maybe not the best example, but one I happen to have on hand.

Look not to brag but I'm 12 minutes away from Rausch. So if u get a heads up. I'm always down to go. As soon as my shocks (I know you guys are tired of hearing about my God Damn shocks) get here I'm game for when ever. Want to take it easy before the Appalachian take over. But I'll do some greens.
@tacos33 it's u and @M192 going and leaving Thursday morning? I know @dziner is. We are leaving early Thursday also. Like to set it up that we all meet together on the highway and trail down.
