Lmao, I still blame Greg. He totally tossed it out of the truck after me and Tim walked away, lol. It was nice meeting you guys, great wheeling trip.

Perhaps for nothing severe, no. It'd never hold up. But for the few relatively light trips I've had with it, it served its purpose. But tbh I am surprised it made it past the previous trip.

I was feeling the EXACT same way as described the first time I went to Rausch with a brand new '16 Tacoma, on my first season of wheeling.

It gets better! If you can handle your first few trips out and learn to trust your (hopefully really good) spotter, trust your rig, and feel like you can begin to see & choose your line, you'll be good. Like anything, the more you wheel the more comfortable you'll get with it.

John, it was awesome meeting you! Get that '16 TRD Off Road Double Cab you were telling me about! You won't regret it.

You should have never been at the back. And proper protocol is that you wait at a turn until the person behind you can see which turn you are taking. That goes for everyone in the group. No one can ever get lost if this is followed.
Anytime you want to go out, m Letme know Jon. I will give you a personal guided tour, and let you learn at your own pace. Then you can decide if you want to continue this hobby or not.

Had a great time today with my usual crew plus one newb. Nate, you did awesone for only your second day wheeling these type of trails. Garrett stalled less than a dozen times, Lloyd only needed to winch once, and Greg was his usual self. @Dogg23

I appreciate it man! I've spent time riding the sand roads of the NJ Pine Barrens back when I road dual sport motorcycles. We always had the same protocol. You watched your mirror for the person behind you and never took a turn without making sure they saw you. And there was always a sweeper who knew the trails. When I lost sight of the people in front of me, I no longer knew what lines to take. And when I'm driving my expensive daily driver through that kind of stuff, I want to know what lines to take.

Exactly. At Lloyds suggestion, I had Nate follow me so I coukd spot him, and he could see the lines I took easier. By the end if the day I was not even spotting him, just watching to see the lines he took.

You're a nice guy Dave. I know you are the kind of guy that likes to help others out. Like the valve stem thing. You do not have the experience to know what lines to tell people to take though. Not being a dick, just stating a fact.

However, Trail damage is ultimately the drivers fault / responsibility. Period.

John, you're also a nice guy. It was nice visiting with you.

However, if you wheel Rausch Creek, you're going to scratch your truck and bend things. Period.

No one should be out there with steps.
