I'm sorry guys. I didn't mean to hit that bees nest.

But I don't agree with passing on shop supplies costs. It's part of overhead. Why don't they add a charge for compressed air too. It gets under my skin when there's a charge for waste oil disposal and the shop has a waste oil furnace. $115/hrs hourly rate won't cover all the costs??? Should there be an added fee for lights? How about the AC in the waiting area? Where does it stop? Use of WD40, shop rags, speedy dry, etc used to be included in the shop rate when I was working as a mechanic. It's just a way to pad the bill.

    Rant done... :annoyed:

Yes it is, and good job keeping those cherry tomatoes on the skewer mine usually end up falling off especially if I marinate them. Looks great!

As do all the other meals on here. Something I have noticed over the years is that hunters tend to do a lot of cooking and good cooking at that. I think we appreciate wild game for what it is and want it to turn out right in the end. And in turn learn how to cook all types of meals.

i just do a bit of soy, teriyaki, and Smokehouse Maple on the meat, then assemble and then pour leftover marinade on the assembled kabobs. Only soak the meat a couple hours. Really doesn't need much.

I dunno. I suppose at some point somebody came up with the bright idea that shop supplies should be separate on the bill so as to not have to increase the hourly rat, but it has long gone by the wayside, but just like any other fee, it stays.
The part that really sucks about it, and the part I think aggravates everybody is its added on the back end like taxes. So its one of those things that when you figure you're 2 hour bill then the real bill comes in at 2 1/2 hours cause of all the taxes and fees, its just aggravating.
Im sure Tacoma Mike wasn't the accountant that came up with the idea.......................... but then again, maybe he is.
