Ah, you gotta do some on site stuff?

I've been debating whether or not to apply to that job you sent me. On one hand it would let me potentially move out to San Tan Valley and have a really nice place in my budget, but even from there the commute to Miami would be an hour or more.

I guess I'm just not cut out for huge commutes. I had a job where it took over an hour to get home once before, hated it.

I mean maybe some of that was because of the conditions of the office itself, plus the fact that my route home was so congested, but it was soul draining.

I'm always on site but have my company vehicle. I needed to go take some pictures of a water distribution system but didn't get a chance to on Friday so went for a little trail run in the Tacoma.

Yeah, a friend of mine is house hunting in stv and does the commute. I don't think there is much traffic but if there is an accident on the highway you're screwed. I was driving back once and there was a jumper on a bridge. We didn't move for 3 hours.

I say at least apply and if you get the interview, hopefully they'll do it on site so you can see what the commute would be.

I'm submitting this as proof to our auditors that the water distribution system is still there.

Lol. My commute is .85 miles... two stoplights... a right turn then left turn then right turn then a left turn... can't even listen to a whole song... never get over 45 mph... can drive to work and back on a single tank of gas for 3 months...

Thinking about moving closer to work.

Probably my best commute was ~10 miles that took me about 20 minutes to half an hour depending on traffic. I had two jobs with similar commutes like that and it was pretty nice.

The hellish one I spoke of before was only 14 miles but it took over an hour because of traffic.:frusty: You got onto a main road with stop lights every half mile, sat at every single one, then got onto a 2 lane highway that was servicing 4+ lanes worth of traffic... and it was under construction. For years.:annoyed: Coming home? Slower.:bananadead:

Yeah I guess the whole "right job" thing is the key. My hour commute was to a shitty boss and below average pay. I took it because it was a guaranteed offer straight outta college and I was unable to read the warning signs.

Job hunting is so demoralizing too, ugh.:bananadead:

I'm missing the gold/brown color... I could substitute yellow or gray/silver?
