I think it was in his thread.

We're going back to the trail we did the second time so we can plot it on the map. It would be near impossible to do in reverse. Much easier to slide down a rock than up a rock

Anybody want to go and roam around this weekend? I wouldn't mind going for a night and coming back the following evening.

I can do Rush on Sunday. Or you can show up late Saturday, pitch a tent in my back yard and we can wheel it Sunday.

Just posted about this in the meet's thread

Rush is just a little too far for me on a 1 day run down to have to pay to wheel when I get there. Ill think about it.

So much going on of late! 2 years ago, we had to beg to get 3 or 4 of us in the woods on anything less than a 3 month notice. Now we have someone wanting to run into a rock every weekend!

    This is a good thing!

After the difficulty getting people interested in going then, I hate to say no to what will surely be a good time!

Also....notice the correlation between people not being interested in going and the temperature. My old ass can't handle the heat like I used to! :anonymous:

And with that, my favorite time to wheel is fall and winter. With Harlan in late October, Rush in early to mid September, let's start thinking about something Dec/Jan....A drive into the woods, a big hot bonfire, and sliding around on the ice!

I'm no fan of blistering heat either, but tent camping in cold weather sucks too! Forgot how much insulation you really need, LBL reminded me of that

Work is finally slow so I've uploaded some of my favorite pictures from the trip.

First major obstacle involved some winching and eventually turning back after a few of us got over it (my first time being winched:burnrubber:):

Which led to a scary moment. Not sure if this was before or after the slide:

    Some creeks

Some beautiful scenery and fun hills

...and a couple stuck tacos :ballchain:(more winching :bananadance:)

and lastly my first real trail damage. Which was avoidable had I just installed my CB as planned before the trip :anonymous: so I could have heard the warning about the branch/tree sticking out during that steep downhill trench)

But I have it mostly fixed now

I had a great time, and thanks again for welcoming me. Can't wait to come back!
