    HOLY S#!+
I just had probably one of the scariest experiences with my Tacoma. I'm driving on the freeway there's not too many cars around so I'm going about 80 mph in the fast lane. I hit a particular bumpy/wavy part of the freeway and all of a sudden my brakes locked up and I'm not even touching the brakes and my truck starts breaking like one side after the other not at the same time if that makes sense so it's making me swerve left and right going 80 miles an hour. Luckily I maintain control as I am swerving and it's slowing me down finally once I slow down to like 20 or 30 mph it stops freaking out and I got off the freeway soon as I could.

Is this my VSC? I have about a 2 1/2 inch lift and I've never done the calibration

Sorry if I have any typos I'm doing this from my phone

Yeah it sounds like VSC kicked in maybe. It wouldn't hurt to try the calibration since it's free and quick

OK I'll try the calibration and then is it stupid of me to want to go over the same patch of freeway to test it LOL

Something to do with the angle of the ABS sensors after you lift your truck and your truck thinks you're losing traction when you're really not. I think, at least. Only applies to lifted trucks.

not stupid at all...I'd do it to see if it happens again or if it's corrected...but maybe at a time with less traffic :)

Mine has kicked in a few times, and if I remember correctly, it's only when going around right hand curves. And, it's happened 2-3 times on the exact same curve. As far as I know, there's never gravel or anything wrong with the pavement in that curve.

Happened to me for the first time recently going around a right hand turn. Only the passenger front and kicked in and sent me slightly left. Woke me up pretty good.

I guess that's one perk of owning an 05 now. Absolutely no traction control nannies! Only ABS.
