Did you go with C load or E load on your BFGs? Just curious since I just changed from Cooper ST Maxx 285/70R17(E) to BFG KO2 265/70R17(C) and there has been a noticeable difference in ride quality and a 2.0-2.5 MPG jump. Understandably since I changed sizes but weight savings was about 15 pounds per tire as well.

I went with the C's too. I'm trying to keep it light to make this truck last(hopefully). The ride quality is really good with the stock suspension I think, and not much louder than the stock tires.

Man, that looks nice. I actually won my wheels at a raffle and they had the ones I put on my truck there as well as a bronze set similar to yours, and I didn't think the bronze would go with the QS but I was wrong. Looks super clean.

Lund 5" oval. They stick out a little too much, but are good protection against door dinging MF'rs.

Yep I agree the ride quality and low noise is nice with the BFGs. I have the Bistein 6112/5160 setup and it's great as well. It really shines off-road but nice and controlled on the street too. 265/70R17(C) riding on FN fx Pro 17x8 wheels. I know it's a Third Gen thread but these wheels look good on any Gen IMHO.

    Yes they do!
I just got my truck, will have to wait a bit before spending a grand and a half on wheels and tires... but when time comes, FN FX in light gunmetal are going to be my choice. Only gripe I have are the center caps. I think I'd have them printed MGM, or maybe not... We'll see when time comes

Yep there are definitely options out there as far as center caps. I've seen guys do all sorts of stuff like different colored decals on black (or dark grey) caps. Red letters, silver, etc. I just wanted the silver caps to pop and match my chrome grill and bumper. And the gunmetal grey wheels perfectly match my stock gunmetal grey grill that's inside the chrome. Looks good to me anyway since I can't have a fancy new Taco with black wheel flares! The new off-roads like yours are pretty sweet.

You're right about the strain on the wallet! Moderation is my motto just like with everything else in life. Oh, who am I kidding?!?! I like spending money on my truck just as much as the next guy. :woot:
No seriously, I do have to be careful. This forum gives me WAY too many cool ideas!
