I'm in the same boat. I was rear ended at the beginning of this week and I'm think of changing my back bumper fortunately My quarter panel was not touched. If it was I would be getting a high clearance bumper from cbi.

Sounds good but it starts a chain reaction that starts the lift and rim /tire purchase.. I went that very route . I'm happy I did but be prepared to drop some additional cash

Warn makes a BSM compatible rear bumper if you want instant satisfaction, no need to wait for it to be built

Something else to consider: if you have the bed/quarter panel damage repaired at a body shop, the accident will almost certainly end up on the CarFax or vehicle history report. This will affect it's value when you go to resell it.

If you instead add an aftermarket bumper that covers the damage, you should avoid the accident showing on the vehicle history.

Funny that the new three piece bumpers on the Tacoma and Tundras were designed to reduce Insurance costs, by having to just replace the damaged section instead of the whole bumper.

Really nice bumper. Does this work with the backup sensor?

The bumper has some step pockets of some sort on the corners. I wonder how the large BSM sensors would mount behind that. The bumper also looks like steel in the corners, so I don't see how the BSM would see through that.

I noticed that too but they claim it's compatible. I'd like to get a decent rear bumper but also want to make sure I don't lose the ability to use my sensors.

Same here. I've been waiting for more options for rear bumpers that support BSM. I only know of C4 fab and I'm not entirely sure if I like the look of their bumper. Waiting for more choices. Call me a skeptic, but I don't think I believe WARN. Hope I'm wrong, more choices the better. Would be great to hear from someone that has bought it.

Backup or BSM? Backup yes, we can easily make that happen for you. BSM is a different story.

I got hit with around 10k on my truck. I was stopped (for a while) at a red light when a drugged up woman wearing her pajamas (at noon) and a car load of kids, rear ended me. The driver's side corner took a light hit. Nothing got into the bedside at all. The total bill was just north of $1500. I replaced the bumper with an Expedition One plate bumper. I made the he bumper work with a lot of fitment issues, and now it is good to go. I would not recommend Expedition One as their customer service sucks.

It's like the the million dollar wound in Vietnam. Serious enough to get you sent home but not enough to have a disability.

Whole bunch of stuff in my garage
Since we're on the topic of bumpers, does anyone make a high clearance rear that supports BSM and parking sensors? Thats what I'm looking for...and now you've got me hoping to get rear ended!

Too many but also not enough mods
If you're getting in and out of the bed a lot then I would look into the Warn Ascent rear bumper. Step is 6" less than stock bumper.

Any chance we will see a BSM friendly bumper? I personally prefer your bumper. To me it fits the best and looks the best.
