When I was in the Army, we did a couple road marches through Oklahoma and Texas in extreme heat. We would have to stop every 2 or 3 hours and drop air pressure in the tires on the 5-ton trucks we were in. Extreme heat and sun would literally explode the tires if we didn't. Caused tread separation....

This was in the bias ply days. Firestone tires IIRC.

Any interest in a casual meet-n-greet somewhere in the general Lexington area sometime?

There's always interest. You just need to take the initiative, set the date, place, and be ready to be dissapointed when nobody wants to go lol

Sadly, you may be more right then you think! I don't off-road or like to camp, so places like LBL have no real interest for me, so just a casual M&G would be better.

@mwc273. Bought Pelfrybilt bumper and full skids. Talked to 4 different Pelfry aluminum bumper owners. Seems they are tougher'n a $2 steak. Cost less than most steel bumpers while they're on sale.

    Pelfrybilt full aluminum skids too.

In stock. All of my order Ships tomorrow!

The have an inventory reduction sale going. I saved $425 . Good time to buy your skids.

No sliders in stock. 3 month wait. Went elsewhere.

I've shown up many places for free beer.

I'm not against meeting in Somerset. I try to avoid Somerset this time of year because of the Ohio Navy.

I live within 30 miles of Somerset, I just live near 461 which can make traveling a pain the butt this time of year.
