Best looking model year for Tacomas?

What do you guy's and gal's think in the best looking model year for Tacoma's?
Gen 1 95-04 ? Why??
Gen 2 2005-2011 Pre-front end refresh Why??
Gen 2 2012-2015 Post-front end refresh Why??
Gen 3 2016-Current. Why??

I don't think there were any other major makeovers without a redesign other than in 2012. Someone please correct me if I am work.

 

The one in my driveway is the best looking Tacoma, just cause

 

1998-2000 had a decent front end facelift from 1995 version.
2001-2004 had another decent front end facelift along with introduction of Doublecab
2011 had a slight change to the grille (honeycomb style), 2009 the taillights went to LED.

Should be more like:
1995-1997
1998-2000
2001-2004
2005-2008
2009-2010
2011
2012-2015
2016-

I do like being as accurate as possible. But if no objections we'll continue as is.

 

Thats just exterior, we could go through all the small interior updates through each cycle as well I have a tacoma problem to say the least.

 

If ChadsPride agrees.(liked) Then that's better than the Good Housekeeping's seal of approval.

First Gen best Gen!

 

1st Gen and 2nd Gen Post-refresh 2012-2015 running neck -n- neck.

 

I think they are all ugly stock but they all can look awesome when upgraded with bigger tires, nicer rims and custom bumpers.

 

2001-2004 Double Cab best looking.

2017- PRO second best looking.

GEN 2, 2005-2015 is the ugliest.

 

My 99 Prerunner is the best looking truck I ever own, thinking of completely restoring when I retired.

 

08-11 for the best interior.
12-15 for the best exterior.

I dislike the 12-15 steering wheel, test rode three but couldn't get past it.

 

I've got an '09, but I'd much prefer a 2004 doublecab
