Love the 12+ front end conversion.

Were you able to get the turn signal mirrors to work?

    :transformer: :duel:

sounds good. I gave up trying to predict the weather here after that last 80 degree day in February :tumbleweed:

yeah I hate the pollen. I have to wipe my truck down daily for a month or ill be driving a speedway yellow instead of blue :goingcrazy:

    tanks! :humble:

I never tried, it seems to require wire splicing work and I haven't seen a good enough step by step writeup that I could follow for it.

IMG_3298.jpg IMG_3297.jpg never showed you my conversion man! You are the reason I did it. Still need paint but I put it together with my girlfriend the weekend of Christmas last year. Since then and these pictures I scored a toyota emblem and the led tail lights that came on later years. Still need turn signal mirrors and some interior stuff and I'll be complete! 30 inch light bar and working clear fogs coming next week. The yellow are cheap Chinese that the previous owner had and cracked

awesome man! welcome to the conversion club!

sourcing parts was fun, I camped out in the 2nd gen marketplace for weeks looking for things as well as ebay and calling salvage yards. the access cab carpet was the single toughest thing to find, but the interior swaps weren't too hard. you'll get it all together eventually tho.

I like those rims btw, what is the exact name? ive seen them before and whenever I need new tires I was thinking of getting those and trying some duratracs.

cool, ill have to keep an eye out for those. have always liked the clean look they have.

I used several years worth of budget for mods on mine, haven't done a thing since, but there is also not much more I want to do anyhow. still need to do that roof rack mod for access cabs, but just haven't made the time for it. but aside from that and the fj rims the autobot transformation is pretty much complete.

check back in when you get it all together btw! ;)

Nice build! Looks like you are very meticulous. Question for you, I recently swapped my radio surround to a 2012 - 2015 type. What did you do with your passenger air bag switch? I unplugged mine and the air bag is turned off no matter if there is weight on the seat or not and the red air bag light is on my cluster.

    tanks! :D

I never used it so I just removed the switch from the old surround, left it connected and tucked it under the vents and sealed it up. its never given me any problems since then.

its the best 2nd gen color imo. I had ignored tacomas before I saw my first blue one , then I was sold.

I also like super white and silver. inferno is nice too but its so loud I could never see myself driving it. darker colors would drive me crazy with constantly having to wipe the dust off of them.

I still wipe mine down every few days. spray bottle filled with water and a microfiber cloth works pretty good.
